On October 15, 2025, Fuji star Sodikoko delivered a breathtaking performance at the New Afrika Shrine, Lagos, as part of the Felabration 25 lineup — the annual festival celebrating the legacy of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

Taking the stage with his live band, Sodikoko brought a wave of Fuji rhythm, percussion, and pure street energy to the Shrine. His entrance alone ignited cheers from the crowd, who had been anticipating his set since the lineup was announced. Backed by talking drums, sekere, and groovy bass lines, Sodikoko’s sound effortlessly blended Fuji’s traditional flair with a modern, party-driven edge that connected deeply with fans across generations.

Throughout his performance, he engaged the audience with call-and-response sessions, chanting praises and hyping the crowd with his signature stage charisma. Songs from his growing catalogue were performed with infectious passion — and his vocal strength, matched by his drummers’ precision, kept the atmosphere charged. The crowd danced, sang along, and echoed his hooks, turning the Shrine into a full-blown Fuji carnival.

Sodikoko’s appearance added a refreshing twist to the Afrobeat-dominated festival. His inclusion underscored Felabration’s enduring mission — to unite diverse genres and showcase the vast cultural sounds of Nigeria and Africa. His set proved that Fuji music, deeply rooted in Yoruba tradition, still commands the power to electrify mainstream stages.

Beyond the music, Sodikoko also used the platform to pay tribute to Fela Kuti, acknowledging the Afrobeat pioneer’s influence on all Nigerian musicians. “Fela paved the way,” he declared to loud applause, before closing with an energetic medley that had the crowd on their feet till the very end.

In every sense, Sodikoko’s performance was more than entertainment — it was a cultural celebration, a bridge between Fuji heritage and contemporary Nigerian sound. His showing at Felabration 25 reaffirmed his rising status in the Fuji scene and earned him massive respect from fans and fellow performers alike.
