Rema just want to have ‘FUN’ in new single

Nigerian international superstar Rema has released a brand-new song titled FUN, continuing his streak of releases in 2025. The track, which was released just hours ago, represents another forward move for the artist, who has consistently redefined the boundaries of Afrobeats on the global stage.

FUN arrives during what has been an exceptional year for Rema. Earlier in 2025, he made waves with Baby (Is It a Crime) on February 7th, which samples Sade’s 1985 classic, Is It a Crime, and quickly became one of the most-streamed Nigerian songs of the year. He followed that success with Bout U in April, maintaining consistent output without sacrificing quality.

Known for his unique approach to Afrobeats, Rema has established himself as one of the biggest and most innovative voices in the African music space. The Nigerian superstar has exhibited a dazzling and versatile skill set at making “another banger” since coming onto the scene, with critics recognizing him as a generational figure.

The timing of FUN is particularly strategic, coming off the heels of his successful sophomore album Heis, which was released back in July 2024. This new song suggests that Rema isn’t slowing down anytime soon; he’ll continue to feed his global fanbase with fresh material that bridges African rhythms with international appeal.

Rema’s track record speaks volumes about his ability to create cross-cultural hits. His previous smash Calm Down became a global phenomenon, and with Baby (Is It a Crime) already making significant waves this year, FUN is positioned to continue this trajectory of success.

Co-produced by London and AoD, FUN is an upbeat, melody-driven anthem that blends Rema’s smooth vocals with pulsating beats, made to get you moving. Produced with his characteristic flair, the track features vibrant percussion and a hook-heavy structure. Lyrically, Rema addresses naysayers with confidence, as heard in the lyrics: “People dem must to talk, even if say you wan RESPOND, they go say you’re the one who’s Immature like say na your fault.” These lyrics reflect his resilience against criticism, consistent with his bold artistic persona. The song’s carefree vibe invites fans to embrace joy and shrug off negativity. It is a perfect addition to playlists for both parties and personal reflection.

The single is now available across all major streaming platforms, adding to what has already been an impressive catalogue of hits that continue to define the sound of modern Afrobeats on the global stage.
