Born Ojo-Edokpayi Clinton Osamudiamen, Princecoe is a Nigerian Afrobeats artist rooted deeply in soul, culture, and conscious expression. His creativity is shaped by sound, space, events and time, translating human experiences into powerful music that reflects both personal truths and the collective African journey. At a young age, his father immersed him in music history from the turntable era of the 1950s, exposing him to legendary voices such as Majek Fashek, Fela & Femi Kuti, Bob Marley, Dennis Osadebe, Sunny Ade, Johnny Cash, Gregory Isaacs, Lucky Dube, Tracy Chapman, Michael Jackson, Coldplay, 2Face Idibia and many more. This wide range of influences forged his belief that music must carry message and meaning. His artistic journey began in 2009 after what he describes as a divine encounter that unlocked his musical gift. By 2011, he was already experimenting with production and collaboration. From 2013–2017, he sharpened his vocal craft as part of a university choir group that created original music weekly.
Princecoe released his debut official record “Africa” in 2019. His artistry gained significant momentum with the release of multiple singles notably “Kemet” (2025), a project praised for breaking boundaries with its spiritual depth and sonic boldness, and “Matrix” (2025), a powerful anthem that shifted the landscape earlier this year. Today, Princecoe fully embraces his artistic identity, founding a philosophy he calls Global Pan-Africanism, rooted in Edo heritage (Nigeria & Japan) and ancient Kemet Civilization, while speaking to a global audience.
