Nigerian content creator Peller has spoken out amid the suspension of TikTok live streams in the country, dismissing claims that he and fellow creator Jarvis would be distressed by the development.

In a new video, Peller fired back at critics who suggested the ban would hurt his earnings, stressing that he remains financially secure.

He explained that the restriction has not affected his lifestyle or his ability to connect with fans, revealing that he has multiple brand endorsements worth over N40 million each. Peller added that he continues to run giveaways that far exceed what he would have earned from TikTok live sessions.

“When TikTok Live was banned in Nigeria, some people expected me to be lamenting,” Peller said. “Let me educate you — I am an ambassador for several brands, and none of those deals is less than N40 million. The last time I truly enjoyed TikTok money was back in January or during an official match. The giveaways I fund are even bigger than what I earn from TikTok. Don’t play with me.”

In December 2025, TikTok’s live streaming feature was temporarily suspended in Nigeria amid concerns that the platform was being used to promote immoral content and expose minors to inappropriate material.

The suspension triggered backlash and uncertainty among creators, many of whom questioned how the decision would impact their earnings. Influencers like Peller and Jarvis depend on TikTok for revenue through monetization and brand partnerships tied to their online reach.

Watch Peller’s video below:

“People are expecting me to be crying after Tikt0k bann£d live in Nigeria thinking I'll go hungry. I'm an ambassador to numerous brands and none of my endorsement is less than ₦40 million.”

Peller’s comments underscore his confidence in his diversified income streams, noting that brand endorsements and partnerships now outweigh TikTok as his primary source of revenue.

The TikTok live ban in Nigeria continues to affect creators who heavily rely on the platform for direct revenue. What are your thoughts?
