An Abuja High Court has fixed November 26 for the hearing of the alleged assault and battery case filed against Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck.
The case was instituted by Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, who alleged that the rapper violently assaulted and battered him during a public event held on December 16, 2024. According to the suit, the incident occurred while Kraziecent was “peacefully taking pictures and videos” of himself before Odumodublvck allegedly attacked him without provocation.
Kraziecent, through his counsel Uchenna Ojembe, accused the rapper of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, claiming the attack left him emotionally traumatized and resulted in the damage of his iPhone 15 Pro Max. He is demanding that Odumodublvck publicly apologize for the act — both on his social media pages and in at least two national newspapers — and pay compensation for public humiliation, reputational damage, and property loss.
At the last sitting, Justice J.O.E. Adeyemi-Ajayi adjourned the matter after Kraziecent’s counsel informed the court that the defendant had been served with all necessary documents but had not yet filed a defense. Odumodublvck’s lawyer, Sheriff Bello, requested more time to “put his house in order” and adequately prepare his client’s case before the court.
The incident has sparked widespread public and social media outrage, with fans and critics alike calling for accountability from the rapper. While Odumodublvck has yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations, the controversy has continued to generate heated discussions about celebrity behavior, public conduct, and the growing scrutiny of artists in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
