Morayo Afolabi-Brown, born on July 6, 1980, in Lagos, Nigeria, belongs to a family of trailblazers her father, Alao Aka-Bashorun, served as President of the Nigerian Bar Association. Over the years, Morayo has carved her own media legacy through poise, excellence, and purpose, becoming a trusted voice across Nigeria’s airwaves.

Morayo studied Political Science at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and she returned to Nigeria in 2004 equipped with fresh perspectives. She began her career in 2005 at CMC Connect as a Client Service Manager, then moved to CUE Media, where she developed original concepts like The Room, which won MultiChoice’s New Directions pitch. She later joined HiTV as Head of Content Acquisition, scaling advertising revenue from ₦35 million to ₦400 million, and generating sponsorship growth from $1 million to $20 million in just over two years.

Morayo made her mark at TVC Communications in 2012 as Deputy Director of Programmes. In December 2023, Morayo stepped into her role as Managing Director of TVC Entertainment Channel, expanding her impact across the media landscape.
