Wizkid Beams with Pride as His Son Boluwatife Makes Music Debut with Champion Arrival
Nigerian music superstar Wizkid is one proud father as his first son, Boluwatife Balogun, officially steps into the music scene with his debut EP titled Champion Arrival.
A week ago, Boluwatife announced his entry into the industry, sharing clips from his studio sessions with the support of his mother, Sola Ogudugu, and his manager. The project has already made waves across streaming platforms — debuting at No. 1 in Nigeria within just five hours of release, and charting in 16 countries on Apple Music. It also secured a spot at No. 71 on the UK Apple Music Top Albums chart, making Boluwatife one of the youngest African artists to achieve such a feat.

During an appearance at a New York Knicks Game, Wizkid was asked about his son’s musical debut and couldn’t hide his excitement. Smiling proudly, he said,
“We love it, man. He’s my kid, you know.”
The young artist, known for his confidence and lyrical boldness, has already sparked conversations with his song “Grinds,” where he addresses critics and expresses determination to make his own mark.

Wizkid shares Boluwatife with his first love, Sola Ogudugu, who has often been praised for her role in raising their son with humility and discipline. Boluwatife’s recent show of love toward his half-siblings during Wizkid’s mother’s burial further won hearts across social media, cementing his reputation as both talented and well-grounded.
With Champion Arrival, it’s clear that the starboy legacy is in good hands — and Wizkid couldn’t be prouder.
