Nigerian skitmaker, Isaac Olayiwola, popularly known as Layi Wasabi, has shared his thoughts on marriage trends.

In a tweet on Sunday, the actor said marrying in 2019 would have been easier.

Naijabrain reports that the content creator said the expectations and standards for marriage have become much higher in recent years.

He wrote: “shoulda married in 2019 mehn, the bar is too high these days.”

His post generated some reactions from his fans who took to the comment section to air their opinions.

Vincent The Great: “It’s too high if you want to plan the marriage outside your means. Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi’s wedding, cost a $50k for a photographer alone. If I’m earning 5 million naira salary, I can’t be fantasizing the luxuries that my capacity can’t bring in YET. So the bar would feel high to you, if you allow yourself to compare what you see, to your own reality. I went to the state secretariat last week and still witnessed a court marriage. The couples looked so happy. Coming online, Temi and her husband see happy too. 2 weddings, 2 different realities. 2 happy couples. Life’s good afterall .”

Iretileye: “Wedding no cost na you wan follow them go 3 different continents.”

Mezie Abia: “No time is too late for a man. So, take your time. After all, the beautiful ones are not yet born.”

Factaboutalaba: “Poor girl don’t like poor boy  Cost of living wan kill the living . Every body wants the best fee put in the work . Women argue who would cook me know wants to spilt the bill . Relationship is not longer about love but survival . Marriage fails because of insecurity”

Ericdeered: “My biggest regret till date… Should’ve married her right then.”

Justice Maxwell: “The couples that got the best deal were those of the COVID-19 lockdown era.”

Owodunni; “do whatever makes you happy… you can never outdo everyone. just do what works for you and stop running others race. Your home is blessed in advance.”
