Actor Bucci Franklin has spoken out about the rumour surrounding his alleged relationship with fellow actor Sunshine Rosman.
Naijabrain reports that the rumours began after the pair, who featured together in AY Makun’s movie The Waiter, shared a kiss on stage during the film’s premiere.
The gesture, which followed a playful moment at the event, made many fans believe the two were romantically involved.
Franklin has now clarified that the kiss was only part of their roles in the film and not proof of a personal relationship.
He explained that he enjoys working with Rosman and respects her as a colleague.
He also revealed that she has Nigerian roots and expressed interest in collaborating with her on more projects.
“Confirmed from where? I didn’t get that memo. There was a kiss because we were both an item in the film.
“I’d say I am her biggest fan and I enjoy sharing the screen with her. She is part Nigerian. I look forward to creating more cinematic memories with her”, he said in an interview with Chude Jideonwo.
Both actors have since reunited on Kemi Adetiba’s Netflix crime thriller To Kill a Monkey, where Franklin played Oboz and Rosman starred as Amanda “Sparkles.”
Speaking beyond the rumour, Franklin reflected on his career journey.
He said his early days in church drama shaped his passion for acting and strengthened his spiritual growth.
According to him, performing in front of congregations as a teenager gave him the confidence and foundation that guide his work today.
