Pearl Okafor, the newlywed wife of Grace Nation Ministry founder Pastor Chris Okafor, has shared insights into how their relationship began, describing their union as divinely orchestrated.
In posts on Instagram, the couple shared romantic photos and videos alongside affectionate messages. Pearl emphasized that their meeting was not by chance but a “divine orchestration,” highlighting that their relationship was guided by God rather than human effort.
Speaking about their bond, Pearl referred to Okafor as her husband, best friend, and partner, expressing excitement about building a family together. She also shared her desire to have children and watch their family grow under God’s guidance.
Pastor Okafor also reaffirmed his confidence in the marriage, saying he was certain about his decision and expressed happiness over their union.
The public celebration of their marriage comes amid ongoing allegations made by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala. Ogala recently claimed that she had been in a relationship with the cleric since 2017, a revelation that surfaced shortly after videos of Okafor’s engagement to Pearl went viral online.
The actress claimed that she left her previous marriage at Okafor’s request and accused him of betraying her after years of intimacy and promises of marriage. She further revealed that the ordeal affected her mental health, even leading to suicidal thoughts. Doris also stated that she suffered a miscarriage during their relationship and endured the loss of her brother.
Ogala later issued an ultimatum, demanding either marriage or a financial settlement in the form of a house.
Despite the ongoing controversy, Pastor Okafor and Pearl went ahead with their wedding last Tuesday, surrounded by family and friends. Following the ceremony, Ogala reportedly served a pre-action notice on the cleric.
In a letter dated December 16, Ogala’s lawyers accused Okafor of breaking an alleged promise of marriage and are seeking ₦1 billion in damages.
