Nigerian rapper Vector has shared how his song “Early Momo” featuring Goodgirl LA helped a patient at a psychiatric home overcome depression.
In an interview on The Honest Bunch podcast, Vector explained that real musical success goes beyond chart rankings and lies in the impact songs have on listeners’ lives. He revealed that after releasing “Early Momo,” he received a message from a psychiatric home saying the track had aided someone battling depression.
Vector added that he can often tell when people are struggling emotionally based on the streaming patterns of certain songs, such as “Mercy” with Seyi Vibez, and emphasized that music should serve as a source of comfort and connection for listeners.
