Big Brother Naija alum Queen Mercy Atang has weighed in on the viral video showing music icon 2Baba being arrested in the UK after an alleged clash with his wife, Annie Idibia, also referred to as Natasha.
Naijabrain had earlier reported in October that rumours surfaced claiming the singer was involved in a heated altercation with his then-pregnant wife, which allegedly led to his arrest.
Videos circulating online later contradicted the singer’s denial, showing 2Baba in handcuffs as police escorted him into a vehicle. Another clip captured Natasha stepping out of a bus, reminding him that she was carrying his child.
Reacting in a blog’s comment section, Queen Mercy Atang expressed delight over the development, saying that peace of mind is priceless.
Responding to a follower, she described Annie as her “sister” and maintained that the actress gave her all in her marriage to 2Baba.
“Aww, peace of mind is so beautiful.
Hey Hun, my sister was in this marriage, remember? As an Akwa Ibom girl, trust me when I say she gave it her all. Xoxo.”
Last month, while celebrating Natasha’s birthday, 2Baba publicly professed his love for her, admitting that the affection she shows him is overwhelming. He declared that he loves her deeply and looks forward to building a future together.
Since unveiling his relationship with Natasha, the singer has largely avoided openly declaring his love for her—until recently, when he introduced her as his “African Queen” during a club outing.
It will be recalled that on July 25, 2025, 2Baba held a quiet traditional wedding with Natasha, attended by close family members, including his parents. In one video from the ceremony, the couple received parental blessings, and a man identified as Okagbe prayed that this would be the singer’s final marriage, referencing his past unions.
For context, in January, the legendary artiste stunned fans when he announced his separation from Annie Idibia, his wife of over ten years. Confirming his new relationship, he declared his intention to marry Natasha, insisting she played no role in his split from Annie and claiming he and Annie had an “understanding.”
