Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been arrested for cybercrime involving her colleague, Mercy Johnson.
Filmmaker, Seun Oloketuyi, made the news known on his Instagram page minutes ago, revealing that the actress was arrested at her residence in Lagos by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja
Seun said Angela spent the night at Yaba Panti because there was no available flight to Abuja at the time of her arrest. According to him, she was put on a 6am flight to Abuja and is being taken to face court proceedings.

Last year, Okorie had sincerely apologised to Johnson, saying that, after reflecting on certain events that had transpired, she could only thank God she was alive. Angela noted that she is human; hence, her emotions take over her. She said she has realised that her utterances, which come from a place of pain, were hurtful.
For years, Angela has launched attacks on Mercy Johnson over undisclosed reasons.
Resuming her beef with her last year, Okorie, in an Instagram live, said she had forgiven the mother of four because she learnt she was seriously sick. Angela, however, advised Johnson to seek forgiveness from people she had wronged and should stop using church words that don’t represent her.
Debunking her claims via her Instagram story, Regina Daniels stated that Angela was mad as she admonished Mercy not to forgive.
In 2024, Angela had dragged Mercy Johnson, accusing her and her mother of being witches. She later went on an Instagram Live session with Mercy Johnson’s former best friend, who called her out for witchcraft and alleged that her late mother was the mastermind. The lady claimed Mercy was aware of the deaths happening in Nollywood and locked the destinies of the famous music group Style Plus and her colleagues.
Following her beef with Johnson, Angela revealed that she had unfollowed Mercy Johnson’s goddaughter, Regina Daniels and others as frustration wanted to kill them. She claimed that they sent her several arrows, but it didn’t work as she promised they would soon cry blood. She boldly told Mercy that physically and spiritually, she can’t be silenced.
