Social media has erupted with reactions after a viral video showed music legend 2Baba being arrested in the UK following an alleged altercation with his wife, Natasha.
Naijabrain previously reported in October that rumours circulated claiming the singer had been involved in an altercation with his then-pregnant wife and was arrested. At the time, 2Baba shut the claims down, insisting he only missed his event due to a medical emergency. He thanked organisers and fans and promised to make it up to them.

However, a new video now circulating online appears to contradict that denial. The footage captures the moment UK police placed the iconic singer in handcuffs and escorted him into a car. Another clip shows Natasha stepping off a bus, reminding him that she was carrying his child.
The video has stirred mixed reactions online, with many mocking the singer for previously declaring Natasha his “peace of mind,” which many felt was a shade at Annie.
Reactions include:
- “Legend Annie has been managing him for years. Nee Idibia just arrest am. Nothing must happen to our legend.” — Lady Claire
- “His peace, na their type of peace be that.” — deojie_hair
- “Peace of mind wan wound Annie.” — iam_amyzon
- “Na now you go know why the owner of the man no fight you.” — sheikhayates
- “Benin women no get patience. They no dey tolerate nonsense at all.” — lionelelizabeth49
- “2Baba is the problem.” — melinda_chisom
- “She’s his peace of mind now.” — Daveish_2020
Back in July, the singer sparked controversy after stating on Nedu’s podcast that men are not built to be with just one woman, adding that a man can love one woman but still find it difficult to remain sexually exclusive.
He later made a U-turn in a video shared on Instagram, admitting he had “messed up.” He apologised to Natasha—whom he called the love of his life—his fans, and his children, insisting that what happened did not reflect who he truly is.
The apology drew reactions from celebrities.
OAP Do2dtun expressed concern, saying 2Baba is clearly vulnerable and being pushed into things he normally wouldn’t address publicly.
Comedian Ayo Makun noted how society quickly judges without asking whether the singer is mentally or emotionally okay, adding that men are conditioned to suffer in silence.
Singer Cynthia Morgan told Natasha that she cannot force a man like 2Baba into sudden monogamy, urging fans to pray for him.
Daddy Freeze, on his part, said the singer is “depreciating,” comparing him to a Bentley slowly turning into a Corolla, while Annie Idibia is steadily evolving into a queen. He warned that 2Baba may soon become a puppet if things continue this way.
