Terry G has sparked controversy after claiming that he once served the Devil, describing it as the source of his wealth.
The singer made the revelation in a post on his social media page, which he deleted shortly after. His comments came as he addressed ongoing rumors about his health, assuring fans that he is alive and well.
“My phone has been buzzing since morning. People have been calling to check up on me because they saw something online saying ‘R.I.P Terry G.’ I came to clear your conscience—please, whoever is spreading that news, stop it. I’m doing very fine, I beg you in the name of God,” he said.
He added, “And also, let me clarify this—there’s another rumor trending about me serving the devil.”
Terry G further stated that his music is not intended to glorify God, openly admitting that he serves the devil.
“In my interview with the Honest Bunch Podcast, I said, ‘I have fallen short of the glory of God. People like me don’t get married. I’m not a gospel artiste; I’m a secular musician. I sing for the devil—we sing for the devil, we praise the devil. We don’t glorify God, and that’s just the reality of my business.’
So, you mean you didn’t know before? Don’t you know I serve the devil? He’s the one who made me successful. I’ve cleared your conscience now—take it like that. God bless you all, I’m still very sound and healthy,” he said.
