Sultana, the BBNaija season 10 housemate, has revealed that she was forced into marriage at the age of 15.
In a recent conversation with fellow housemate Jason Jae, the model detailed her early struggles, explaining that the union was entirely against her will.
“I was married off really young as a child. I was about 15. Was it something I wanted? No, it was not something I wanted, but it happened,” she said.
The reality star credited her own strong will for her escape from the marriage.
She described how her personal growth and evolving identity during her university years clashed with the constraints of that life.
Sultana also shared that she is a mother to two daughters, whom she gave birth to via cesarean section (CS).
“The thing is, my stubbornness got me out of it. I was at the university, and I was already growing. The things I like what I like, I like tattoos, piercings. In fact, I have not gotten the kind of tattoos I want to get because I am scared of my mom. I was a virgin at the time I was in university,” she added.
“But you see, with me, I have been married before. I have got two kids. But you would not know because I had them via CS.”
The BBNaija season 10 edition kicked off with a two-day opening ceremony.
This year’s winner will take home a staggering N150 million — the highest grand prize in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.
